Excellent functional raincoat
After a false start, I love it. I first ordered the size 14, the size I wear in the Barbour quilted jackets, and it was huge. Not just “room for a sweater” but hanging off me. That one was also the green color, which turned out to be a miserable drab color IRL. But it was well made, great pockets including an inside phone pocket, and a large hood. I sent it back and re-ordered the size 12 in navy, and now I am very happy with it. We have had some heavy rain lately, but the dog still has to go out, and it has kept me dry.

supersized, order down 1-2 sizes
I ordered down from my normal Barbour (US 10). I should have sized down 2 sizes as it is still too large all over. A large hood and pockets are pluses, but the fabric is stiffer and heavier than the Barbour Clyde jacket.

Adorable rain jacket - order a size down
The other reviews are correct - this jacket does run large. I ordered a size down from what I would normally wear and there is still plenty of room for layering under the jacket. I purchased this item in Navy, and it looks very cute. I love the plaid lining on the collar and hood. Great coverage for a rainy travel day. Tall girl approved (5'10"), but I think it would also look great on a petite frame. I am happy with this purchase.

I love this rain jacket! It keeps me dry in the wettest weather. It runs large. I’m 5’6” and usually wear a 10-12 but an 8 was perfect. Very stylish looking. Deep pockets too. Navy blue color.

Another great Barbour jacket
I have several Barbour jackets. I think they are by far the best thing that Barbour makes. Their coats and jackets are all practical, casually stylish, well made and last forever. My oldest ones are still it great shape and still worn for mucking about. I needed an uninsulated waterproof coat, and this one is perfect though oversized. My other Barbour coats are sizes 8 or 10. This one in a size 8 was very roomy. I was able to order a size 6 and will see how that fits and will likely return the 8.
