Hebrides Longline Waterproof Jacket with Removable Hood

I have this very raincoat, purchased it last fall. I love it. I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years and we know raincoats, here. This has proven to be the ultimate raincoat for me. I don’t care for trench coats with belts, I need simple and unfussy. I want something I can layer sweaters underneath, and this allows for that. Pockets are perfect. And it really is waterproof. Great quality. A steal at this Anniversary price.

I purchased this raincoat in the Winter Moss color which is a brownish olive. I absolutely love the fit, the waterproof fabric, the tortoise buttons, the color, and inside zipper beneath the button placket. It’s a straight cut, but roomy fit and lined in a beautiful plaid. I appreciate the two big snap pockets on the front and the inside zipper pocket. This is a classic style. I am 5‘10“ and generally wear an 8/10. It hits me at the knee, just as modeled in the photos. I bought a size 10.

Although this coat seems well made and has some nice features, it runs extremely big and has no shape. The smallest size Size 4 was huge on me, a normal size small or 4-6 in coats. I did not like the green color, seemed more appropriate for a men's coat. The buttons are loose and would be easy to fall off with normal use, and would be difficult to replace. It does have a very nice zipper, so would have looked better without the buttons.

I live in the PNW and have been looking for a true waterproof coat that isn’t the usual sporty gorpcore aesthetic you typically find up here. Using the size chart, I saw that I would probably be a US 4 but initially sized up to US 6 because I wanted to wear this over sweaters if needed. The 6 was definitely too big so I exchanged it for a size 4 and it’s perfect and I should still be able to wear layers underneath if I need to. So I would say go for your usual size on this one! The cut is straight on this coat but it’s still very stylish and classic looking. The winter moss color is a nice neutral olive green that should be easy to wear. As for how truly waterproof this coat is, we shall see! It is fairly breathable and has a nice checkered lining and button details throughout. Great price from the anniversary sale too!

This is a beautiful and functional waterproof raincoat for life in the rainy PNW or wherever else you need to deal with rain often! I got the green color which is a really nice neutral that looks classy and goes with anything. I love the features like the removable hood, the use of both zip and snap closures, the lining, as well as nice details like the plaid pattern. It is flattering on a taller frame; I’m 5’ 8” and went up to a 6 from my usual 4 for additional room for chunky sweaters.
