Very substantial rain jacket!
I love Barbour...and have many of their coats but I thought this jacket would be a thin rain shell. Instead, it has a bit of light insulation which is awesome! Other things I loved were that the SLEEVES were big enough to accommodate not just my arms (my upper arms are a little chunky and always an area of concern with fit) but other layers underneath making this a perfect transitional jacket for fall. The drawcord waist is very helpful in giving this coat a more feminine silhouette. Lately I've been having to go to size 8 in Barbour to fit my arms but this jacket was plenty roomy in the size 6 that I purchased. The two front pockets are super generous and will hold a lot of items so it would make a great coat to walk the dogs and carry essentials like phone, poop bags, treats etc. with out having to drag along your purse. The length is awesome, covering your butt and thighs which is in my opinion is essential when it's raining out! And can I give a shout out to the SNAP PLACKET? So nice to have that option to quickly close your coat and go rather than always having to fuss with a zipper. I got the green color which I would describe as a vibrant Olive but am also obsessing over maybe snagging it in Navy too.

Dark navy fabric faded badly
Perfect coat except that the dark navy fabric has faded where the sun hits it most turning into pinkish purplish uneven hues within first season. Thank you Nordstrom for allowing returns in such cases.

Beautiful, high quality coat. It’s heavier and more insulated than expected but that’s not a bad thing. Just changes how and when I expect to wear it. I’m typically a size 10 and this coat was at least two sizes too big for me. Returning it and hoping to get in a much smaller size.

The Perfect Coat
I really love this coat! It runs true to size but slightly big. I tend to size up in a winter coat but I bought my regular size and have plenty of room for a thick sweater. I’m guessing this coat will be a nice weight for weather that is cold but not freezing cold. Kind of an in between seasons for MI. Love that it is fully waterproof with a hood, and goes down to my knees. The waist ties make it flattering. I initially bought the dark navy but I found it doesn’t really look navy. More of a deep black with a blue undertone/charcoal. I definitely wouldn’t call it navy. I returned and purchased the green, which suited me better. This will be a great coat for many years to come.

Great Classic Coat
Very happy to find this coat. Thank you Anniversary Sale! I read the other reviews prior to purchase. I agree w/them that this is the perfect coat to own. Very well made classic quality coat. Love that it is lined. The care instructions are on the inside zipper pocket. Can be machine washed separately, which is great. I typically wear a size 4 dress. I have long arms for my height & often find small sizes are too short in arm length. I bought the size 4 & this fits nicely everywhere. Plenty of room to add a fleece or sweater underneath. I would say this is a relaxed comfortable fit. I also like that the coat itself is light weight. Will be great for travel!
