Crystalline Fragrance
This is one of the samples I purchased from the MFK site to test before buying due to the price. This is a very interesting perfume! There is an airy and crystalline quality to this and never feels heavy which many vanilla based perfumes tend to do. It’s an ethereal vanilla with hints of citrus in the opening and florals that have just bloomed but it’s a cool spring day so they aren’t always apparent. There is a higher pitch to this fragrance than the Extrait version. I would swear there is ambroxen in this that lends to the pitch which I find similar to Le Labo Tonka. The dry down was a bit smoky and reminded me of a much lighter version of Vanille Insensee with LL Tonka. One spritz to the wrist lasted until the next day. Much more prominent with warm vs cool skin. Overall great fragrance and fun to wear. I will complete testing my 10 samples before deciding but this is definitely in the running. BTW— strongly encourage ordering from MFK site if you don’t live close to a a Nordies to sample. Fast shipping 4 days and low cost with gorgeous packaging.

THEY HAVE CHANGED THE FORMULA
I’ve been purchasing Baccarat 540 since 2015. It WAS very potent and lasted all day. You could still smell it on your clothes for days. It appears they have changed the formula sometime near mid 2022. Now it’s weak and doesn’t smell/last. People don’t smell it on you anymore. Of course once I reached out to Maison Frances, the denied making any changes but if you pull up the fragrance on their website and read the ingredients at the bottom of their page, it states that they regularly update their formula. I really hope that the company will go back to the original formula when this fragrance first came out. It’s too expensive to cut back on the ingredients/staying power. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!! When reading all the reviews on Baccarat, you will notice around mid 2022 people say it’s not the same. You can barely smell it and others don’t smell it on you. It appears the changes were made sometime in the middle of 2022!! I hope Maison Frances looks at the reviews on ALL sites and go back to its original ingredients/formula!! I won’t continue buying this WEAK fragrance!! I’m so DISAPPOINTED!!

Phenomenal and not overpowering...
This is the most amazing fragrance. I resisted purchasing it for the longest time, because justifying the expense to my hubby for perfumes of this caliber can be challenging. Regardless, it is worth every cent!
This is one of those fragrances that are so subtle, that once you put it on you do not smell it anymore, but I assure you... others will!!!
I work in the legal/justice field... I have been in court during an active hearing and had a defendant risk contempt charges to ask me what I was wearing! That alone speaks volumes!
I am constantly stopped on the street, in stores, elevators, in meetings, EVERYWHERE and told “you smell INCREDIBLE, what are you wearing?!?”
Unfortunately, I butcher this poor artists name, but I can tell them what the product is, and where to get it! I have been buying it ever since!
Love, love, LOVE this fragrance!!!!

MY signature fragrance but I got mine at Neiman Marcus. im So Happy that Nords has it now. I LOVE IT. every time I wear it I get WAYY TOOOO MANY COMPLIMENTS. and omg it stays on for the longesstt. I love this. Its worth every single Dollar

I absolutely adore this scent! It is my now signature scent and that’s saying a lot as I have many perfumes. I frequently purchase from diptique and byredo. This one is so special. It can be either men’s or women’s. It is very pricey but a beautiful scent which is unforgettable! Go to Nordstrom and get a sample !

Not for a youthful audience.
I heard only good reviews left and right about this, but if you're young.. skip out on it. I smelled like an old lady all day. Smelled alright at first but then settled into a licorice pepper sweet scent on my skin and clothes. Major headache at the end of the day. I'll be sticking to Creed.
