B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel

I use this gel at night twice a week to reduce the blemishes left after breakouts, it is very effective and my skin is very bright, soft, and smooth the night after. I use a mini spoon to scoop a quarter-sized amount of gel, then warm it up in my palms before I press it on my face. It will turn to white gel after the warm-up, although its texture is still quite sticky. Due to the activeness of vitamin C, I store it in my dark dark cabinet to prevent any light into the jar when not in use. The result is totally worth the effort! I have normal-to-dry skin BTW.

I received this as a sample with purchase and was interested to try it as I usually like gels. This however is far more viscous, more like thick honey and even warmed in one's palms quite difficult to apply. It did actually eventually sink into my skin OK and it didn't sting at all which I have experienced with some products containing vitamin C. I did however feel that my skin felt quite tight and a bit itchy and I definitely think it is not suitable for dry skins at all. To be fair it claims to be for normal, combination or oily skin. Would probably be great if one fell into one of these categories.

I Really enjoyed using this after receiving it as a sample in an order. It left my skin feeling lovely, cleansed and fresh. I love all Aesop scents and this product smells lovely. I would definitely like to try following this product up with others in the range such as a moisturiser to feel the full effect.

The Aesop Triple C Facial Balancing Gel is a staple in my skincare routine that I can’t imagine living without. This exquisite gel not only brightens my complexion but also imparts a radiant glow that makes my skin feel rejuvenated. This gloopy gel smells divine, it needs to be warmed up in-between the palms of your hands in order to get it to a spreadable consistency to be patted onto and then massaged/worked into the skin. If you enjoy a longer bedtime/luxe evening skincare routine you’ll enjoy this. It does hydrate and soothe irritated skin and it is a great spot treatment (morning = spot be gone) so if any of these are bugbears of yours and you have the bank account to try this then… go for it, it multitasks like no other. However, for the price I don’t think it’s a necessary product for me, it was nice to try and I did enjoy it but I won’t be repeat buying. I didn’t particularly enjoy the dip-in jar packaging.
