What it is: An intensive cream mask for hair that restores sun-exposed hair, moisturizes and helps defend against free radicals.
What it does: It's formulated with Morikue™, a protein that helps restore weakened hair. Tamanu oil, certified-organic shea butter and coconut and palm oils moisturize hair. It features a light, tropical aroma with a blend of 100% certified-organic essences of neroli, ylang-ylang and cistus.
How to use: Use after shampooing. Apply evenly to damp hair from roots to ends. Leave in for 2–5 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Use weekly or whenever hair is exposed to sun, salt and chlorine.

So happy to have this for the summer!
Using this after a day at the pool is wonderful! My hair feels hydrated and healthy after being dried out b the sun. It is rich, but not heavy.

Not effective at all
I had high hopes for this product after using the Sun-Care shampoo, which I love. I have long, fine, but high volume hair, and I used this product after swimming in chlorine pool or saltwater. I found that I had to use more than twice the amount that I would use of other product on a non-swim day just to get it to coat my hair because it was so hard to spread. Even then, it wasn't successful at moisturizing my hair or even making it so I could comb or brush out the tangles easily and it also left my hair very flat and greasy looking. Considering the amount I have to apply just to make my hair manageable and the volume & price-point that it is sold, it is not worth the purchase. I found going back to using Shampure conditioner after the Sun-Care shampoo really works best for my hair.

Strong scent, great mask
This is an excellent hair mask. Very hydrating and repairing. Unfortunately, like the vast majority of Aveda products, the scent is overwhelming. Every time I tried to use it on my daughter she would exclaim ‘too strong Mama!’ And I have to agree, I didn’t want the scent lingering on my hair either, even though it’s effcets on our hair was beautiful. Too bad.

Wish it had worked
This mask is just not good. It's hard to spread on hair and never seems to actually sink into the hair. After using my hair did not feel more moisturized at all. also, you don't get a lot of product for the price. I was very disappointed after receiving and seeing how small the container actually is. Decided to keep because i used too much of it and also didn't have the packing slip anymore but I probably won't keep using.

A Marathon summer training essential!
I sweat A LOT and I have SALT everywhere when I finish a long run. this has made a huge different in how my hair feels and keeps it from drying out!
