What it is: A dry shampoo featuring the same formula as Aveda's shampure™ Dry Shampoo but with a new name and a new look.
What it does: This 99% naturally derived dry shampoo absorbs excess oil, impurities and sweat thanks to powerful plant powders. It also instantly helps add volume and texture to refresh your hairstyle. Montmorillonite clay absorbs the excess oil on your scalp and hair, and tapioca starch helps instantly boost volume and keep your hairstyle in place. The dry shampoo features the same environmentally-friendly non-aerosol packaging as the original.
How to use: Tip the bottle upside down then return to upright. Turn the cap to expose the nozzle. Lightly squeeze the bottle to puff powder onto your roots. Tip the bottle as needed to increase powder flow. Massage the powder into your scalp and restyle as desired.

Best dry shampoo I’ve found
This is an unusual dry shampoo as you ‘puff’ out the product from the bottle rather than spray an aerosol. I much prefer it for this reason. It also smells lovely. To best ensure no white residue is visible when using it (a rare problem but sometimes the ‘puff’ is heavier than intended): puff the product on to a brush (rather than directly on to hair), and run the brush through your hair; it’s also best to put it in at night - by morning it is well absorbed. I find my hair the second and third day after use requires very little top-up.

Would not recommend
Unfortunately this dry shampoo made my hair more oily and greasy. I love Aveda products, and have had success with other powder dry shampoos, so couldn't figure out why this didn't work on my hair.

Didn't like the static feel
I was really looking forward to trying this dry shampoo but it left my hair dry and static. It didn't leave my hair soft more like after hairspray which I wasn't looking for. I have long thick hair and it felt very weighed down. I also found the bottle quite stiff so may be a problem for people that have hand/strength issues. It did remove the excess oil but after trying it several times it's definitely not for me.

Disappointed- Different than older version
I have purchased the old formula of this dry shampoo, before the blue bottle, and loved it so much I thought I'd splurge (as prices have gone up) and try the new version despite the mixed reviews. I'm a loyal Aveda user and love their products. The scent is still great but something is different in this that makes my hair more knotty/cakey/chalky than the previous version. I actually reach for my other dry shampoos before this one - drugstore versions at a quarter of the price. Big disappointment for the price and product.

I absolutely adore this product!
I have been using this product for about two weeks. It has multi-use, great for in between washes for making my hair look super clean and the other way I use it is for adding texture to my hair when styling. By fat the best dry shampoo I have used. I really enjoy how it is applied, feels more controlled and lightweight. I received this product free as an ELC employee.

This product is magic!!
This is my new favorite dry shampoo. I have been searching for an alternative to aerosol dry shampoo as I am trying to move into non-toxic beauty. It has been very difficult to find a efficient alternative to traditional dry shampoo. This is the solution! It uses plants to power its oil excess fighting power and actually works! It works even better than traditional dry shampoo and smells amazing!

Love this dry shampoo!
How is it not 5 stars? Best "dry shampoo" I've ever used. Love that it doesn't contain alcohol which can dry out your hair. I have fine color treated hair and a little of this product goes a long way. Pro tip - apply at night before bed and wake up to not greasy hair! I wash and blow dry my hair every 2-3 days and use this product in between for a refresh and before workouts. The container / application take some getting used to and isn't perfect... but it's powder.. I don't know how they could do better? I like how when it gets close to gone you can actually unscrew the top of the bottle and put some powder in your palm and just apply with fingertips so you aren't wasting any!
