scalp remedy^™ Dandruff Solution

I haven't been using this product for too long, but so far is has been effective. I use it after washing my hair, and I notice that my scalp is less dry for the rest of the day. However, I would avoid using it when your hair is completely dry because it starts having a bit of the 'gel effect. ' Also, when using the product I would recommend spraying it into your hands first then running it over the scalp.

I have been suffering from seborrhic deramtitis (eczema) on my scalp for the last two years. Nothing has really stopped the flaking and itching. I tried this on a whim and so far it has been working (I have been using it for almost a month now). I love the precision nozzle that allows me to apply it to the effected areas directly as opposed to the entire scalp. I apply it at night before bed. I have noticed that when I miss a day the flaking comes back but I will continue to use and see if the condition continues to improve. Just a side not: this can be sticky so make sure to wash your hand after applying!

So, lots of blow drying and winter weather can cause an itchy scalp for me. This is a great smelling product that prevents the problem (I'm not sure how effective it would be for serious dandruff). It really reminds me more of a soothing tonic rather than a medicine. I also find it somewhat helps with styling, giving me slightly more hold after a blow dry.

We have terrible water where I live and it makes my scalp so tight and itchy. I’ve tried several dandruff and “scalp health” shampoos but many of them strip my color or just plain don’t work. This Aveda solution not only prevents/stops itching, it also soothes my scalp practically making it say “ahhh!” Yes, there is a fragrance, (not unpleasant to my nose, however it can be a bit strong depending on how much you use) but it dissipates once my hair is dry. My scalp stays mostly itch-free whether I wash my hair every 2 days or 3 days. And because this product is not a shampoo, it hasn’t stripped my color. The only thing I would change is the spray bottle packaging. A dropper-style applicator would be much more precise in placing the solution directly to affected areas.
