What it is: A rich cream mask that delivers nutrient-rich moisture and hydration to all hair types.

What it does: It deeply nourishes and restores depleted, dull and dry hair with nutrient-infused hydration and shine. Hair is left with a healthy-looking appearance and is soft and smooth to the touch. It's formulated with the brand's nutriplenish Superfood Complex to help infuse hair with replenishing hydration. Pomegranate seed oil, rich in Omega 5, helps hydrate and revitalize dry hair. Mango butter softens, nourishes and moisturizes hair, and coconut oil helps hair retain moisture so that it's soft. The mask features Aveda's own pure-fume aroma with cocoa extract, certified-organic ginger oil, cardamom oil and other pure flower and plant essences.

How to use: Use weekly as an ultra-hydrating treatment. After shampooing, smooth the mask through damp hair from roots to tips. Leave on for 2–5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Pro tips: You can also use as an overnight conditioning treatment or leave-in hair mask. For a sensorial, spa-like experience, apply a hot towel over the hair mask and relax.

Drying and overpriced
I'm sorry it does not work. It doesn't feel moisturizing at all and my hair feel dry upon application and still feel dry after rinsing. I blew $300 on several masques, deep conditioners and leave in treatment and I regretted it. Because none of these are moisturizing or helpful for my hair. I want all natural with essential oil fragrance but I'm disappointed.

It does the job, but the SMELL is headache-inducing
I left it on for about three minutes, and the smell was so bad I rinsed it off. (Had planned to let it on five minutes.) Then, about two hours after I was in bed (I wash my hair at nigh) I had to get up and WASH it out--even rinsing did not get rid of the smell. It did the job, but the smell makes this -- and all Aveda products -- a hard NO for me. I have tried myriad Aveda products and love how they make my hair feel, but each and every one has such a STRONG smell. Geez, Aveda. You don't need to douse your products with that nasty smell.

All Day, Every Day
All Day, Every Day. That's how I have begun using this product these days. I initially began using the masque following a shower and prior to bed whilst wrapping my hair in a towel, to great effect, as it helped my hair quench its thirst, but I have now begun to use the masque everyday as a primer before I style. I use the masque after towel drying my hair, and then apply my grooming clay along with an oil. The masque helps maintain the hydration in my hair throughout the day which was initially surprising as my hair generally tends to drink everything up. I have thick, coarse, and curly hair, hair that tends to drink up all the moisture I put into it, but the masque has really helped nourish my hair as it looks and feels more hydrated. Do be wary not to use too much as you don't need a lot. I don't know it this would be too much for someone with thinner or finer hair, but it worked great for my hair.

Very hydrating to dry, coarse, thick hair.
I now have silver and white hair that tends to be dry and coarse and thick. This product gives my hair plenty of hydration and shine, with no frizz or fly aways. This product works better than any hydrating shampoo or conditioner that I have used.
