Plaid Patternblock Double Breasted Blazer

They say that disappointment is the result of outcomes failing to meet expectations. Based on the pictures of this gorgeous blazer, it was a match made in heaven and everything I love in a jacket. The mixed materials are quirky and classy at the same time. The piece is lined. It is tailored slightly at the waist which is more the style now than a straight boxy blazer. I thought it looked stunning and it is! Even more so in person! The material’s colors are more vibrant in person; another reviewer said it looked christmasy, and I see where she is coming from with the red and green together. Even muted the contrast is clear and unmistakable. I liked it, anyway! Then I slipped it on and my jaw hit the floor for all the wrong reasons. Typically I’m right between a small and a medium. I have narrow shoulders and upper arms that are soft, but still slim. I usually order blazers in a medium because I like to layer them. FUGGETABOUTIT. I put this on over a mere tank top and immediately knew it was destined for a return. My shoulders and arms were so constricted! It fit; wearing it wasn’t IMPOSSIBLE, but as a violinist, it drives me nuts not to have a full range of motion at all times in my arms and shoulders. I don’t think I could raise my arms enough to hold a steering wheel while wearing this! It must have been some kind of record for how quickly I packed it back up and returned it, and it made me so SAD because I wanted to love it! The quality is fantastic. It’s thick and soft and very well-made. The colors are not as muted as they look in the picture but they’re still pretty. Unless you’re a centaur with the upper body of an Keebler elf, though, you might want to size up.

The blazer is beautiful and the quality (without having actually been able to wear it) seems great, but, this will have to get returned. I’m a 12/14 typically and ordered a Large, thinking it looked a little oversized… after trying it on I don’t think even an XL would fit properly. The shoulders/arms are SO tight. I have other items from this brand that seem to run TTS, but this one is a miss :(

This is a very thick blazer and the fit is very snug. Unless you only want to wear a camisole underneath I would size up. I think the colors are beautiful and love the different patterns but this was way too thick for a blazer.

Love this collegiate blazer. Colors are true to photo. For me the Medium runs a bit snug under the arms & frustrating because I ordered another blazer by same brand during the anniversary sale in size large and I was swimming in it, so figured a Med in this style would be perfect but No, it’s more snug could be the other blazer was more oversized . Avec Les Filles needs to be more consistent with sizes to avoid much confusion. I’m stuck with the Med size and can wear it but won’t be able to button it.

It's Beautiful, the colors are vibrant in person, but it's much heavier than I was expecting. It's about the same weight as a nice pea coat, and same material. I was expecting printed fabric and that was not the case.

I really loved the pattern and texture of the exterior, but the lining felt cheap and the fit was wide in the hips which was not flattering.
