Belted Longline Trench Coat

I chose this coat because of the single-breasted trench style and the all-cotton fabric. I was elated to get it, but it came smelling strongly of some sort of musky cologne. I don't know if this scent was put on at the factory, store, or at some customer's home who returned it. I immediately put it in the wash, but after three back-to-back washes, the scent improved but was still faintly there. It's horrible. I'm so disappointed. That's the only thing wrong with the coat. My next step is to try to steam the odor out.
