Ava Cuffed Denim Shorts

I have the Mid Rise Ava in the same size in the denim and these fit completely differently (also made in a different country.) The rise is much higher than the mid of the regular denim. That's okay but what isn't okay is the amount of threads that hang at the bottom of the shorts after washing. They need to be trimmed after washing and then if worn folded, have to be ironed to keep the folded part up. If not folded, they look really unflattering.
