Just flat out bad
$50 for a dried up mascara??? With a name like “astronomical” I expect my lashes to look like i have falsies on. I would get better results but rubbing a sharpie on my lashes. More like “astronomically horrible”

Mascara - fun but basic
This is a nice black mascara. It's not very "wet" which I don't mind at all but equally it already feels like it's on its way out after just a few uses. I think the packaging is fun, cute, unusual and probably the best thing about this mascara! I do find that it doesn't budge or smudge which is great for me as I've not got much eyeshadow zone on my face... so I get some transfer above with most mascaras. I can get a slightly enhanced look with this mascara, and for everyday wear I'm happy with that.

Fun packaging, but nothing more
I truly love packaging of mascara - it different and fun design, but that shouldn't be the main highlight. Unfortunately it is. Formula is very dry and it is not covering well the lashes and it is almost impossible to build up the product for more dramatic effect without lumps or lashes sticking together. It crumbles during the day and gives you "yesterday's make up look" after few hours.

Nothing to write home about
Luckily I only have a sample size of the mascara. I like the drier formula, which means you're getting the most volume right from the moment you open the tube. The brush is also quite nice, but I think it requires a bit of a learning curve due to its shape.
I don't like the packaging and I think it's overpriced, definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

Great mascara
I really enjoy using this mascara because the formula is on the drier side. I have been using it daily for a month and I really like the way my lashes look. There isn't much flaking but I can see why some people may not like the drier formula. It doesn't build that well, but I find that one good coat is enough for me. My only concern is that it may dry out sooner than most formulas as the consistency is on the drier side. Whilst I do enjoy the mascara, I'm still undecided whether I would repurchase as I think the price tag is a bit steep compared to other high end brands.

Byredo Astronomical Mascara is the best mascara I've ever tried! It's not too clumpy, doesn't flake off and has an intense black color. It also stays on all day with no need for touchups. Plus, it smells amazing! I'm so glad I discovered this mascara and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great product that won't let them down.
