Arvon Cotton Snap-Up Western Shirt

I have never experienced this before but this shirt has an awful pungent smell to it. I have washed it at least 6 times to see if it will go away and it is not as strong but still there. It smells like a chemical. Not sure if it is the dye or material. Love the style of shirt-wish I could wear it, but what the heck? Have to return it-can’t wear it. Usually love John Varvatos line but will not buy online anymore.
