'Hadley' Bootie

They run a little small, so a half size up should do. You'll still want room for toasty socks and layering when you wear hose, anyway. I'm normally an 8 and on rare occasions, a 7.5. I purchased the 8.5 (black). They are roomy in the front, width wise, and snug against the heel. As for looks, the well placed seams in the leather add visual interest and remove the flat bulky look of a straight leather boot of this size. It's a tad western, but still looks very modern. Great versatile silhouette. Not too chunky, not too dainty. The stacked suede leather heel adds a nice contrast. The ankle opening is rigid, but open enough to be accommodating. For this reason, slimmer pants at the ankle are best. They look great with skirts too. I've worn them 14 hours straight, right out of the box, with no real pain. That entire time, I was shooting video and never sat down.

I'm so glad I decided to purchase these, I ordered brown leather in an 8.5 (they are true to size, for reference I'm an 8.5 in Nike) and they are very well made and extremely comfortable. I have always loved Rag&Bone's Newbury bootie but couldn't dish out that much for shoes, so these fit the bill, and are extremely comfortable. I'm debating on ordering the black pair to put away for next fall!

I was so excited when I received them. As I took them out of the box I noticed they looked small and quite worn out in the toe as if they had been worn before. Each shoe had the size printed on the inside as well as a sticker at the bottom 7.5, but one shoe was clearly and obviously smaller than the other. I felt as if they shipped me shoes they had used for display that had been handled and tried on by many customers. I am very disappointed with this purchase. I am returning them immediately.

i first have to say Nordstrom returns are super easy and free. I returned these boots for several reasons. The heel on one boot was all scraped up. The opening around my ankle was kind of small and rubbed when I walked. The leather was ok, I have softer leather booties for the same price. The sizing was spot on.

I had been hunting down black leather booties for what seemed like forever when I came across these Hadley boots from Arturo Chiang and thought they hit the mark. I normally wear a 7.5 and sized up to an 8. It is a good thing I did, because I can only ever wear them with thick high socks. Why? The shaft comes up above the ankle, and the leather is quite stiff, making it uncomfortable when walking. The top of the boot cuts into the leg as you walk. The only way I can wear them is to have socks on that create a barrier between the boot and my leg. Such a shame. Because of this, I do not wear the boots as often as I would like. If the leather was softer, or the shaft was lower, these would be fantastic.

I was looking for a pair of booties and came across these on line. They reminded me rag & bone but a lot more affordable. The have a 3.5 inch heel but don't feel that high and feel as if they have nice comfortable padding on the sole. Highly recommend for a comfortable stylish bootie.
