Sì Eau de Parfum Fragrance

You know a perfume smells really really good when you receive compliments left and right specially from men. And let me tell you why I know that. I have many many perfumes, almost all of the high end ones from Coco Mademoiselle to Gucci Guilty, Miss Dior Cherie, Carven, Prada Candy, you name it, I probably have it and I always try to wear a different weekly. But when I wear this one I receive the most compliments from everybody!!! It's definitely in my top 3.

It's funny how you can dismiss something the first time around and then end up falling in love with it! I was at Sephora last year and was browsing fragrances when I came across 'Si' and thought I'd give it a try as it's been around for almost 7 years, always popular and often heavily advertised. Smelling it from the bottle I didn't like it much if at all, yet later that week I caught the most gorgeous scent from a lady who was walking past me in the store aisle and I just had to ask her what it was. Well imagine my surprise when she told me it was G.A's Si! Went back to Sephora and this time made sure to spritz some on my wrist, rather than dismiss it downright from the tester bottle. And what a difference that made...a yummy, almost gourmand fragrance that reminds me very much of YSL's Black Opium, yet somehow 'greener' and sweeter. The opening note is a combination of Cassis, Patchouli, Vanilla and Rose, and I get a strong wine note which reminds me of a freshly opened bottle of Rioja. Very shortly after that I get some wood, spice and berries. The patchouli in particular is a very dominant note throughout so you'd probably have to be a fan of it to like this. The dry down is a powdery, woody/earthy scent which is sweet but not overly so. A perfect fall or winter fragrance as it's very comforting. Wearing this always gets me compliments. Just keep in mind that it's best to go easy with this as the sillage is powerful and the longevity is very good too - I get around 6 hours or more. I love the scent of this perfume. I tend to be allergic to a lot of scents, and floral smells give me a headache. I was heartbroken when "miss dior cherie" was discontinued, as it was my favorite perfume. Fortunately, I have now found this one! The scent is very soft, but without smelling too sweet or floral (or nose prickly as "fresh", floral or sweet smells tend to be to me). I love the musky scent, but it strikes the perfect balance to prevent from smelling like a men's cologne or some of those overwhelming perfumes of older generations. I agree perfectly "strong yet feminine" to describe this perfume.

I was offered a sample of this parfum at Nordstrom. I took it and continued on my way. Fifteen minutes later I returned to try it on and see how it worked with MY chemistry. I loved it. I then decided to wear it and if it stayed on through the evening I would go back and purchase it. It not only stayed on through the evening, there was still a slight scent of it the next morning. Need I say more....SOLD!!!! Love it, the scent is amazing!! Thank you Nordstrom for leading me to my FAVORITE parfum!!
