What it is: An anti-wrinkle, buildable, full-coverage firming foundation that smoothes the look of fine lines for more youthful-looking, radiant skin.
Who it's for: All skin types.
What it does: This luminous liquid foundation is formulated with unique Stretching Micro-fil™ technology, which drapes your skin in an ultrafine micro-lifting matrix. This elastic matrix seals in emollients while velvet filters immediately soften, firm and smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a more supple and plump appearance. The buildable formula contains SPF 20 sunscreen along with Prussian blue pearl pigment to relieve dullness, impart luminosity and revive skin while color-correcting redness and hyperpigmentation.
How to use: Apply using a foundation brush for a radiant, full-coverage, airbrushed finish. For a more glowing look, apply using a dampened sponge. Add layers for additional coverage.

Got the color wrong.
I am a light skinned Hispanic (Dark Brown Hair/Eyes) and even though I'm light, I do tan easily and I have a very light hint of tan color in my face and have a faintly olive tone. I purchased this online and didn't see a chart to determine what color was best for me. I took a chance and picked 5 and it is a bit light for me, so I'll have to send this back for something a bit darker. I did just now locate the shade chart under the Luminous Silk Foundation for Giorgio Armani. I'll share here for others to see - but as you can see the Luminous Silk line has way more color selections - but at least you can get the range. I personally will be exchanging for the 5.5 in the Designer Lift foundation. I'm hoping that will be the one for me.
- Shade 2: fair skin with neutral undertone.
- Shade 3: fair skin with golden undertone.
- Shade 3.5: light to medium skin with warm undertone.
- Shade 3.75: fair skin with rosy undertone.

I tried it on my face in the counter, after 5 minutes walked around, my face turned to soooo dry. Plus the coverage is very light.

Beautiful, impeccable, perfect
Giorgio Armani foundations and primers are so beautiful, that I now use them exclusively despite have tried many of the other luxury brand products over the years. This particular product, designer lift, is beautiful. It is a heavier coverage than the Maestro, which I had used for several years before converting to this designer lift. The Maestro is gorgeous too, but is a noticeably lighter (i.e. less heavy) formula. The Maestro is almost a "summer weight," and provides a light and silky coverage. This Designer lift is heavier. It was just as beautiful, with this amazing glow. I mixed the "light master primer" underneath my Maestro, yet this Designer Lift is so beautiful and radiant, I probably don't need the primer. It is amazing how it can be both a more noticeable weight in coverage, yet still glow. The Designer Lift with the slightly heavier weight, covers the age spots and imperfections beautifully, more so than the Maestro, but with the glow and radiance that I expect from these Giorgio Armani products. So, between the Maestro and Designer Lift options, I would tend towards Designer Lift if you can benefit from a somewhat heavier coverage but still with a beautiful, transparent radiance. I used the same color (5.5) as I did the Maestro, and ordered online - it was perfect.

Perfect foundation
I have tried almost all the high-end foundations, but none was able to live up to how I want my foundation to look like. This with their loose powder really hit it bullseye! My pores disappeared. My skin glowed. It truly did what it claimed it would do. First application made my skin look smooth and firm. Just imagine how much better it would look after a while. I brought my sister and her friend for a makeover of the Armani cosmetics, and they ended up buying this. My super skeptical sister who vowed never to let go of her mineral makeup was so happy how this looks on her skin. No need to use a concealer even with her acne scars! This is truly amazing! Thank you to Nordstrom's super friendly and helpful aesthetician at the Brea Mall, Natalie. She is the best! I will definitely tell people about this.

Finally!!
After purchasing so many foundations with claims of skin perfection, I've finally found the perfect foundation. Mind you I did a fair amount of research before each former purchase with limited satisfaction. I still use the Laura Mercier cream foundation for evening wear (used judiciously with a little Lancôme Tient Idiol foundation to refine the heavy texture)......however, the new Armani is my go to foundation for daytime now. It gives my skin just enough coverage and glow to garner untold compliments from strangers and even our maid!
For reference I have good skin, albeit it extremely sensitive blond skin. I have blond eyelashes and eyebrows. I realized after reading other reviews I needed to up the color a bit. Going for super pale colors which would seemingly be the thing with my fair complexion left me looking unremarkable to say the least. It's hard to determine the color you need in Armani foundations as they are different with each product, however well worth the research. I went darker by several shades to 6 which would seem to be too dark for my blond skin. Instead it gives me a healthy glow and a veil of coverage that is simply lovely. This makeup girl has found the foundation of her dreams. Pricey, but worth it.

Nice glow ladies!
I've used this for 3 days so far, and when I apply on my face, I immideately notice a gl~ow. At first I thought it was very dilute and was worried it won't have much coverage, however, it does have medium coverage and is still very light and doesn't feel thick. I use about a two pumps to apply to my entire face and neck area every morning. After 12hrs I don't see much darkening (due to oxidation) either, which is great!
For those who are ordering it online the following information might be helpful for selecting the shade. I am asian (Korean) and have a normal skintone and I've purchased 4. In the past I've used bo**i brow*n 2.5 (warm sand) and lanco** mira**e buff7w.

LOVE this foundation!
I've been wearing the Armani Designer Lift foundation for about 7 months now and I love it! I was told it has to oxidize after you apply, so, at first, it can look a little orange. But, then it's absolutely perfect. I have mature skin and it can look dry, but this foundation makes my skin look so natural and gorgeous! I also don't like to wear any kind of powder, but this does not make my skin look too "dewy." Gives good coverage and you can build without looking too made up. I've been wearing the 5.5 color. I thought I might have to switch to a different shade in the winter, but this color seems to work year 'round. Definitely a keeper.
