'Lookout' Moc Toe Boot (Men)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a chucka style boot that not only looked good but made my feet happy. I found both in these boots. They fit me true to size, are very well constructed and, after a day of running around doing errands, there were no hot spots on my feet. I’m Happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the upper of this boot. I got the Earth/Stone Suede color. The suede (or suede like) lining is super soft and amazing and has held up beautifully. The outer leather has also held up very well with no cleaning or leather care. The color doesn't thrill me as much as when they were new. The laces it comes with needed replacing after a couple months, not very durable. The lasting board is a bit stiff and not made of leather that forms to your foot over time, needed a pretty squishy insole. The EVA midsole is great but the duratread outsole was not good. The traction wasn't good, the duratread material is very hard, almost like plastic. It wore down to completely bald in less than a year. I am having a cobbler sand off the worn out outsole and glue on a new vibram one. This boot is not properly resoleable because of it's cemented construction. A good chukka boot for the price, but some small improvements would make this boot absolutely amazing, a lasting board that has some give (preferably veg tan leather) and an outsole that is more durable and the material grips a bit better. Also, better laces.

The Ariat Men’s Lookout Boot has quickly become one of my go-to pairs for both work and casual wear. Right out of the box, the comfort level stood out- no break-in needed, which is rare for a boot this tough. The leather feels premium and holds up well against scuffs and daily wear. The grip on the outsole is solid, whether I’m walking through dirt or slick pavement. They’ve got a clean, rugged look that works great with jeans or uniform pants. My only gripe is that they run a bit warm on long days, especially in the summer. Still, the support and craftsmanship make them worth it. Overall, they’re reliable, durable, and stylish- exactly what I expect from Ariat.
