'Drick' Flat

I purchased these shoes in 2 colors 2 different sizes. Both the black and silver-gold colors were nice..I really liked the idea of the back zipper to put the shoes on..Neither size fit me well. I am somewhere between a 6.5 and 7. I have a narrow heel so again that zipper is a great help..Shoe shopping is always difficult. I found the 6.5 too short and the 7 too long..There is virtually no support to the sides and i found that i needed more cushioning on the sole of the shoe as well..Not what i expected at all from an Arche shoe. I will keep on my search for a comfortable and stylish walking shoe..

Arche makes fabulous shoes. The leathers and nubucks are so supple. They are cushy shoes and great for walking. I bought these in Zinc. Such a beautiful neutral and very stylish. They have just enough heel to not be flat, a perfect walking height. These are my second pair of Arche shoes. Worth every penny, you can wear them all day and still have happy feet.

Like every reviewer, I love the leather and quality of all the Arche shoes I've tried. Also like other reviewers, I have a big problem with sizes in Arche shoes and booties. The Drick flat is much more attractive "in person" than in the picture. But this model is much bigger than other Arche styles. I normally wear an 8.5, in Cole Haan, for example. In Arche I've had best luck with size 40 because the shoes tend to run small. The Drick is really large, both in width and length. It is probably too big for me and for other somewhat narrow feet that measure 8.5 in US sizes. Having said that, I really like the way the shoe hugs the foot and the heel is slightly more elevated than the Lilly or Laius flats. If it were just 1/8" narrower and 1/4" shorter, it would be perfect. One further caution is, if you have a really high instep, the shoe may be a little tight over the top of the foot. All in all, if the toe were closed, I'd buy an insole to fill the gap in width and make do with the length because this is a great shoe. The sand color is a nice neutral beige which can go with many colors, and the style lends itself to being very casual or slightly dressy.

These shoes are comfortable, and stylish. Since they are only available in full sizes I needed to size down to get a proper fit. The leather is soft and the zinc color is a wonderful neutral that goes with almost anything. Though a bit pricey, I expect them to last for many years. In addition, they make great walking shoes.
