Jasmina Weatherproof Knee High Boot (Women)

I am really happy I purchased these. I'm wearing them currently, on a medium rainy day. I typically wear a size 8 and purchased that size initially. They were a bit tight while wearing thin-ish wool socks, so I sized up to 8.5. Perfect fit! The calves are very slim with little to no forgiveness, so keep that in mind if you have larger calves or sensitive skin. The suede is pretty thick and the stitching is clean. I've been avoiding puddles, but no water stains have appeared yet!

Very nice, sturdy boot. Took only a couple times wearing them to break in. I am a true size 8 and can only wear these with thin socks. Didn’t want to go up 1/2 size because they were already pushing being too big for my narrow calves. There’s a small gap, although not to the point of looking odd with a skirt or dress.

For $700 you would think the packaging would be pristine and the boot in perfect condition. When they arrived they were haphazardly thrown in the shoe box with no structured support for the shaft or wrapped so the boots don’t touch each other. There were some areas near the ankles on each boot on both sides that had been rubbed enough to leave white marks. And there’s some weird rattling noise inside each heel block. It’s loud enough to drive anyone insane because with each step you can hear it. Sizing wise the 6.5 felt comfortable, with enough space in the foot area for a thicker sock. But I have athletic calves and always have trouble finding boots that can zip without pinching me. I was able to zip them up all the way, but it’s super tight. So if you have wide calves these might not work.

Another reviewer had commented about a broken piece within the heel that made loud clacking sounds as it moved around when walking, and I received the same pair. Poor standards for Nordstrom that they didn't check this, and now I don't have the gift for the holidays. Really disappointed.

I love the boots as someone who has had a hard time finding boots that fit skinny calves. They are true to size for me and the suede is very nice. The shoe is well constructed and keeps my feet warm in the cold weather. Super easy to walk in from the first wear too (no breaking in was required)
