Appliqué Button-Up Shirt

I loved the look of this shirt online, but in person it’s much less appealing. I’m typically a medium but sized up to a large since it’s a button down and I need a little extra room in the bust (34DD). Even if the large size worked for me - which it didn’t - I likely would return because it looks cheap. The white appliqué is somewhat see through and not nearly as solid white as it appears in the photo, which makes it look kitschy for some reason. Not for me.
