What it is: A luxurious body moisturizer with a soft and silky texture that leaves you lightly scented with the woody and aromatic Tarmac.
Fragrance story: Tarmac opens with notes of green leaf, bergamot and grapefruit. Its formula contains aloe vera, apricot kernel oil, green tea and fruit extracts, along with emollients such as sweet almond oil, silk amino acids, shea butter and honey for superior hydration.
Style: Woody, aromatic.

Preservative is high up the ingredient list
Preservative (in the form of Phenoxyethanol) is around 10th on the ingredient list, before all the goodies like shea butter, glycerin and other oils and extracts. This is the same for their other scents too.
I actually really like the consistency. It is thicker and more moisturizing than Molton Brown body lotions without being greasy. The smell is woody, leaning more masculine but unisex (I’m female and I used it). The problem is the formulation.
I didn’t check the ingredient list until I used it a few times, and I couldn’t bring myself to smear so much preservatives on my whole body for the sake of good fragrance. Your skin absorbs what you apply and penetrates to your bloodstream. There are so many other better options out there. So unfortunately, Antica Farmacista’s moisturizers are a BIG NO for me…
