My #1 makeup staple
I've been using several of the powders for a couple years now. I use mine everyday and they've replaced my eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers and basically every powder I used to use daily. I use them for my everyday look and I absolutely can't live without them. I am fair skinned with neutral to pink undertones and only wear a lightly tinted sunscreen and concealer with Diffused dusted under and over my eyes and around my nose. I then use Mood as a blush and bronzer and natural looking eyeshadow (sometimes I'll use Luminous instead). After that I dust Ethereal light all over with a big fluffy brush then highlight with a dense eyeshadow brush on my brow bone, tear duct and Cupid's bow with a Ethereal or Incandescent. Sometimes I'll use Luminous in a similar way depending on how warm and glowy I want to look. Ethereal gives me a lit from within natural glow... Mood adds very natural color and light... Diffused diffuses redness and undereye circles while dimishing pores... Luminous gives a gorgeous warm glow without any frostiness or glitter... Dim is a nice bronzer I use it to add dimension to my face without looking like I just contoured. The full size compacts last me a year or more with everyday use, except for my most used shades (Diffused, Ethereal, and Mood) I Buy about once ever 7-12 months). Totally worth the price for me, I don't even bother with eye shadow or blushes just use these and go. I highly recommend!!!

I wouldn’t recommend in..
I definitely would not recommend this powder if you plan on going out in sunlight. I purchased this because of the countless good reviews on YouTube and when I first applied it, I didn’t notice anything too amazing but my skin looked nice.. then I walked outside and got in my car and was almost ready to go back inside because my face was literally sparkly y’all. I mean it looked exactly like how the vampires in Twilight look.. My boyfriend even asked why my face was sparkling all over.. but at the end of the day, my skin did look a bit glowly and nice but I will definitely not be using this powder again because of how sparkly it is.

Brings a very soft glow
I have Dim, Diffused and Mood, and use them each on different parts of my face rather than one color all over since they DO alter the color of my face. I've played around with them and tried putting only one color on all over and it did not turn out good for me. Dim made my face, well...dim, which is not the look I am going for. Mood made me look pink all day long, etc.
So, what I've been doing is putting Dim where I would contour, putting Mood where I put my blush, and Diffused is put where I would highlight. With this combination, the Ambient Powders bring a look of softness to my face. It's very subtle, and it took me a few times of using them to really realize the difference. They don't erase my lines or shrink my pores, but overall, with that softness, the texture of my skin looks a little nicer from a distance.
I can't say if I feel these are really worth the money and time spent applying. I don't use a finishing powder normally, so this is an extra step that brings a very small, sometimes undetectable result. However, if I normally used a finishing powder, I think I would probably appreciate these Hourglass Ambient's as being superior to the rest.

I thought about this powder since it came out and finally I tried it. I love it, It gives a nice glow that a lot of other products can't. It looks like your skin is healthy and you can't really tell whats making it look that way because the powder is so soft looking on. With some other powders you can tell you are wearing them. I have been wearing less eye makeup and this really helps dress up the face for that more natural look. It would also be great over blush for a fancier look. You might want to try a few color because I was going to get Diffused Light and ended up getting Luminous Light which looks great on my NC15 skin, I have olive and redness in my skin tone.

Good glow - but...
I purchased this in the diffused color after reading great things about it. It definitely gives you a pretty glow, and I love the way it looks. However, I found that I have to use it over my regular finishing powder (which I use over my tinted moisturizer - I switch daily between Jane Iredale's Dream Tint and Jouer's Matte tint). If I use this alone as a finishing powder, my face looks very shiny/oily by noon. Not a pretty glow! For reference, I have combination skin. But if I use it over a regular finishing powder, and sparingly, it gives me a pretty glow. Something I'm sure I'll use more on date nights or during cooler months, but sparingly during Southern California summer days.

Diffused light
I watched about 20 YouTube videos of beauty bloggers using this product and I was super excited to receive it in the mail. I was disappointed to find it had sparkles... Very tiny sparkles but they were present. I was expecting more of soft shimmer and for a powder you're supposed to be able to put all over your face I found it too sparkly. Had it been less expensive I wouldn't have bothered returning but the value wasn't there for me. Diffused light was the only color I have tried and would be curious to see if the others are any better.

Life changing powder
Wow can't say enough amazing things about this powder. It gives you the perfect glow finish. I use it as a setting powder and it makes my skin look dewy and fresh. Another plus is that the list of ingredients are free of pore cloggers so it's great for your skin as well. A little goes a long way with this product
