Alterrain^™ Pro Jogging Stroller

I've had my BOB Alterrain for three months. It has great storage and is effortless to push while running. That said, the hand brake feels low quality, and the suspension has been squeaky—disappointing for a brand known for durability. Overall, it gets the job done, but I expected better.

We received this at our baby shower and our little girl just turned one. The only maintenance I’ve had to do is put a little air in the tires when the weather got cold. When she was a newborn and even now at the 96th percentile for height this stroller has fit her at every stage. I cannot even tell you how many miles we have put on this feels like 150,000. But it has served us well and still looks brand new. One thing I like is that the shade canopy can’t be put up a bunch of different ways to keep her in the shade But still have airflow. I also like how safe the harnesses but watch babies fingers when you click it because it is strong and could be a pinch hazard if a parent is not watching out. That said I do not think any single thing should be taken about this, except the height of the tray apparently is way too high based on reviews. But I don’t have the tray so I wouldn’t know. Anyways, I am 511 and my husband is 6 foot four and we both love the potential height of the adjustable handle as well. We have beat the crap out of this over this past year, almost daily!! like not taking care of it at all just throwing the baby in and going and like I said it still looks brand new. We’ve hardly even wiped it down.

Honestly this is extremely overrated and over priced. Won’t even get a year of use in because my soon to be 2 year old barely fits in height wise. Extremely disappointed. I’ve searched for away to adjust the height of the seat and the only videos or information is lower the seat into a reclined position, my son want to look around on our adventures not lay down. Plus you’re not even supposed be jogging or going off road with baby less than a year, so you might get a year of use max. So very disappointing, especially buying new. Waste of money!

I have waited over 2 years to write this review. We have used this stroller exclusively since our son was born and recommend it highly. I purchased this stroller with the intent on jogging/running again once our son was born. Due to changes in health and lifestyle, I have rarely used it to run, but walked year-round every day with this stroller for 2 1/2 years. Our family runs as a single-car household, so this stroller has become our second vehicle We live in a 4 season Canadian town with plenty of hills, trails, and terrain changes. This stroller can handle almost everything. With the front wheel in the locked position, we can push through several inches of snow(provided I have proper snow cleats on). The hand break is especially useful for us as our town is built in a steep valley. The break allows us to stop quickly and to stay in control when going downhill. Durability is very important to us. We live tough and use our gear until it is worn out. This stroller is built to last. We stored our stroller outdoors undercover for the first 1 1/2 years we owned it, and since we have moved, now store it in our garage. It looks nearly as good as new. Nothing is faded or worn, it just needs a quick clean to keep the tires and breaks from building up with grime from the dirt roads and salt. All in all, we are very pleased with this stroller. The quality and functionality are truly impressive. We hope to get a few more years of use out of our BOB and then pass it along to the next family who is ready to start their all-terrain adventure.

Baby loves the smooth ride. My biggest gripe with this stroller and ALL strollers is the sunshade doesn’t extend all the way to the end of the footbed, so my baby’s feet/legs aren’t protected from the sun. Big missed opportunity in my opinion. We’ve also had trouble with the front wheel when walking in unlocked position - it gets stuck and sometimes fishtales back and forth.

I love this stroller! I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s exactly what I wanted when I bought it. It rides so clean and handles trails like a breeze! The shade is huge and completely covers my babies face when facing the sun, and has an add piece for drinks, phone, keys etc. a couple things to note- it’s heavy!! Also this is not the stroller I would choose for everyday life. It has good turning radius but the Nuna is better (I can turn with one hand) and it’s much lighter than this one. So I do love this stroller but I bought it specifically for walking, and it’s not my everyday stroller.
