What it is: A lightweight, densifying mousse that helps thicken and strengthen hair and prevent breakage, too.
What it does: This mousse adds light hold to hair for easy styling. It's formulated with ingredients to improve hair thickness, restore moisture, elasticity and shine and protect against future damage.
How to use: Shake well before use. Dispense an egg-sized amount into your palm and distribute throughout damp hair from your scalp to your ends. Style as usual.

not as I expected
I’ve been using the Alterna volumizing mousse in the purple can for a long while now and I’ve loved it. I can’t find it anywhere now (I really hope it’s not been discontinued!!) so I ordered this one, honestly expecting it to even exceed my hopes based on how much I love the other one. Since this one is more expensive and promises thick, healthy hair, I assumed I would get just that. Unfortunately, after trying differing amounts on my hair, some days a little, some days a lot, I have concluded that this stuff just doesn’t do what it says. My hair is flat, and feels dirty with this in it. My style does not hold at all either. I’m Very disappointed. Higher cost for less product that is very substandard!

Love it!!
I'm 55 with thinning hair and am thrilled to have discovered this product! My hair looks fuller, holds its shape when I blow dry with a brush and is smooth and soft. Pricey but worth every penny.

works great with shampoo
I wanted to hop on and counter the 1 star reviews. This is a light conditioner and works great in congruent with the densifying shampoo. I have tried every other thickening shampoo and this is by far the best on the market. If you want to really see results get the leave in treatment as well. I have fine, thin hair. It also gets greasy relatively quickly. I would give this shampoo/conditioner 10 stars if I could.

Very fine gray hair
This gives me some volume that lasts and doesn’t weight my hair down. It isn’t sticky or crunchy and my hair shines. About as good as it gets for my fragile hair!
