Almost Catfished

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This setting powder is very soft! I got the white powder and used it for my under eyes and t-zone. It brightened the areas I wanted in a soft natural way. You don’t need much product as a little goes a long way. I didn’t need to apply more once I put it on, I feel like I always have to with other brands. It also doesn’t have a scent to it. The packaging is super cute! It’s a matte black heart with a mirror inside, which is a plus for on the go application. The product seems pretty sturdy. The ingredients are also free of phthalates, sulfates, vegan free, and many more!

Feel sturdy and low-key makes you wanna take it out for touchups just to show it off. Didn’t expect the formula to hit this hard though, first time I used it I went in a bit heavy because the pan looks so white, but once I blended it out, it didn’t leave that scary chalky cast. I was expecting it actually kind of melts into the skin and gives this soft blurred, look like your pores is just chill out. Under the eyes is where I noticed it the most. It brightens but not in a dry, crepey way. I have fine lines and it didn’t settle weirdly as long as I didn’t overdo it. It’s more of a soft focus finished than a full-on matte which I personally like One thing: if your skin is super dry, you’ll need to prep well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In reviving this product, initially I was impressed by the cute matte black case and was excited to try the banana setting powder which sets and brightens makeup. The first time I used the kimchi chic powder, I went in with a good amount of product on a powder puff and applied over my concealer - as I would with other loose powders when I “bake”. I was horrified that it went on so cakey and filled my pores where you could see my skin texture. Even when I brushed it off. Yikes. It was much better the second time, with only a light application on a fluffy brush! Now it does set and brighten with proper use, but it’s not my favorite on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, packaging of this KimChi Chic Beauty Almost Catfished powder is incredible. Even the box feels soft, luxurious, and silky. The art on it is super cute! When you open the box and get to the compact, the heart shaped vessel is also soft yet sturdy. Big fan of the packaging! Even bigger fan of the product!!! This goes on smooth and with heavy coverage but the lightest feel. I’m using it under my eyes and basically down the center of my face. It stays put and doesn’t sink into my fine lines or wrinkles. As someone with aging skin this is very important! I now prefer this powder over any of my others. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this.
