Mode Slim Fit Wool Sweater

Form fitting and a must have staple for a lean or athletic build. Looks great under a jacket and nice on its own in fall or spring. I’m 5 ft 11 190 lbs and the large fits me perfectly. Tried on the XL and fits fantastic around the chest and shoulders, but a little wider in the waste given my frame. If I was 10-15 lbs heavier I would go XL.

I actually wanted a different sweater, but this was only available. Washed first, then stored until recently, and compliments my other AllSaint pieces I have in my wardrobe, as well as other designers I own. The Laundress wool & cashmere shampoo really brings out the softness while keeping the merino from being itchy.

Like most ALLSAINTS, it's cut for a slimmer fit, and (especially in the arms) a wider gentleman might find this quite form-fitting, for better or worse. It's also very thin material, making it a lightweight/transitional wardrobe choice (especially for wool), but it does require extra care. Unless you're going for a rather bold look, you'll also want to wear something under it; as you can see in the picture, it's a little translucent as a result of its thinness. Comfortable, but you're definitely paying a premium for the brand.

I ordered the pewter green color. Regrettably, the sweater I received is noticeably lighter and differs in shade from what was shown on the Nordstrom page. Despite the tag indicating it as pewter green, the issue lies with the photos rather than an incorrect product being sent. Size small fits well. Quality is mediocre, not the softest of wool but not scratchy either.
