Strand is a great shoe.
This is my 3rd pair of Strands and the Walnut color fills a wardrobe hole nicely. The 65 last in 8D fits my foot like a glove out of the box. These are pretty stiff out of the box but always break nicely. The lug sole is much chunkier than leather or Dainite soles and takes some getting used to. My pair came nicely burnished with a touch more color on the toe caps than the rest of the upper. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Not easy to fit well. Seems like you have to go down at least 1 full size. A bit of a hassle.

Stiff and heavy, but durable
Breaking in is not great (compared to Samuel Hubbard). These shoes are heavy (compared to Cole Haan). The lug sole does help with the height. Does not scratch easy, which is nice.Wouldn't recommend
