I purchased the same exact so 6 tears ago in walnut and black. I bought a new pair in black the quality is horrendous. The buckle is cheaply made the soul is beginning to wear out nothing like the the ori
ginal pairs. Very cheaply made and the look is way different no style just plain and and strange imatation

They are very nice looking. I wish these were available in the double monk strap type. They have scuffed very early, after one use and light wear which is disappointing.

Should be built better…
Beware, this model has the cheap poron foam insole! It also uses strange elastic and is not very well finished. The last is a little narrower than the 65, but slightly taller. They look good, but I wish they were built more like (and felt more like) the park avenue, fifth avenue, etc.

AE Plymouth Single Monk - thumbs up
Always been a fan of the double monk strap. Looking for something similar in AE brand, came across these Plymouth single monk strap. The picture looked classy and elegant. Did not disappoint when received. Beautiful shoe that can be worn dressed up or casual. Read varying reviews on fit. To me, they fit true to my typical AE sized shoes, 11.5D.

Plymouth: Classic Single Monk Still Turns heads
Excellent Shoe, eye pleasing color and burnish that will round out the wardrobe. The Plymouth just looks good and is a pleasure to wear. It’s got a warm dark honey whiskey coloration which really enhances almost any wardrobe combination. These shoes makes it look like you really cared when selecting them !

Beautiful shoe, horrible sizing help
Quality is unmatched. This is my first pair of New Allen Edmonds I've got for myself. Before this I had only be able to purchase second hand refurbished. I've loved all of them though and had been waiting for the right time to be able to purchase a pair. Well I called in to speak with someone about the fit of these. I had gone over my sizing issues I have had before to make sure I was getting the perfect size. I normally wear an 8.5 and usually a D or an E.. I was told to get a size 8 and a D width. I received the shoes and my foot will only fit in the shoe if I jam it in and is unbearable to walk in. I am extremely disappointed because they are now sold out of any other size of this shoe. This was the only monk strap in my price point and it will not fit although, I was assured it would. I have never had a new pair before and it looks like I wont for awhile. Very very disappointing.
