Plymouth Monk Shoe (Men)

I bought the single monk two months ago. Craftsmanship is good and tidy, however there is some misalignment with the strap and its buckle on both shoes. Definitely not a deal breaker, just something you notice when staring at your shoes during a dull meeting. Left shoe's vamp is also noticeably tighter than the right. Maybe my feet are different, I don't know. I managed to stretch the left vamp with a shoe tree and pleather shims over many days. Seems better. I can at least wear the shoes for half a day without pain. They are definitely built to last and i anticipate having them for many many years. Leather is thick and clear of defects. Straps for the buckles are just ok. They are less refined than I'd like. These shoes run small. I normally wear a 9 in dress shoes. These boys are 8.5 and are pretty right on....except for the vice-like vamp. Width, spot on for D.
