Newman Penny Loafer (Men)

I was looking for an in dresser casual shoe for dinner and days, something dressier than a driving moc. This shoe hit the mark. While other brands have similar styles I always stick with AE for comfort, fit and quality. I probably go back and get the black pair to round out colors. I own about 36 pairs of AE shoes from driving mocs to dress shoes. Worn them for the last 30 years. I used to be a E but either my foot has slimmed or shoes are wider. Medium always seems to work now.

After 3 weeks with this shoe, I have to say I am disappointed. The break-in appears to be impossible. The leather remains very stiff and uncomfortable where the edges contact my feet and ankles. The fit remains very loose, so much so that I have had to use aftermarket pads to keep them on in hopes of achieving a better fit. I have many pairs of AEs, and these do not fit as I have come to expect.
