A factory second would have had less defects
I am genuinely surprised how bad the quality was - both had defects on the sides, in the back and one of the heels was cut so poorly you could see it from far away. I have never bought factory seconds but i suspect those would have had much less visible defects. even boots priced 10% of what these boots cost would have been less defective. Just shocking that something like this could actually go through QC and be shipped to a customer.

Best pair of shoes I’ve ever had
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these as a weatherproof way to get to Court in a suit. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve worn them a number of times this winter and they are a perfect shoe. Very comfortable and well suited to walk on ice and salt. I haven’t put the waterproofing to the test just yet but I feel like they will handle some snow just fine. Also, I find sizing to be very consistent amongst AE brands. I’m always comfortable in a size 12.
