Disappointed

The first time I used it the heated fat discoloured the pan . I have yet to figure out how to get it clean again. Certainly not to the standard of my other 20 year All Clad pan

Thank you for sharing your experience. Heat and cooking fats can sometimes leave discoloration on stainless steel without affecting performance. To help restore the finish, we recommend using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend® with a soft sponge, then rinsing and drying thoroughly. We understand the difference from your 20-year-old All-Clad pan is disappointing, and we hope these care tips help restore the appearance of your new D5 fry pan.

Does not cook evenly

I have read the instructions before using the pan. When I fried an egg, one side is cooked faster than the other. I inspected the pan carefully and it did not warp. I tried to contact All-Clad but only got to chat. It advised me how to use the pan which is the same as what I read on the instruction. I tried different burners and all of them cook one side faster than the other. Something is wrong with the pan but I am not able to talk to a live person. It is a frustrating experience.

Thank you for sharing the details. We appreciate the steps you’ve taken to troubleshoot this. Uneven heating like you’ve described is worth a closer look, and a live specialist can best help evaluate the pan itself. It’s a great pan!

I really like the heft of this pan, it is very well made, and I appreciate it’s made in America.

Three different pans in the same size.

I have three d5 fry pans in 8". All three are different. One is 8 oz light than the other two. Basically, they are different in my case. Not cool.
