Expedition Twill Jumpsuit

The pros: cute style, flattering fit for a curvaceous figure, not too baggy, not too tight. Heavy weight material makes it easy to style the collar and cuffs. Length is nice with flats or heels. The cons: heavy weight material is not very comfortable. Heavy weight material will not suit hot weather or cold weather (not easy to layer) A tough decision, but I’m returning this cute jumpsuit because of the fabric. It looks good, but I don’t think I’d ever reach for it in my closet - primarily because it doesn’t feel that good to wear. I’m at an age where I no longer suffer for fashion. I don’t want to give the impression that’s it’s super uncomfortable, just that it’s not a pleasure next to the skin. It feels like wearing a heavy canvas tarp. The other reason is that I think the number of days I could wear it in the northeast will be limited. It’s usually too hot or too cold here. This would work better in SoCal.

Alex Mill is a tricky brand because none of the jumpsuits fit the same. If you can figure out your size, though - *chef's kiss*. I'm curvier on the bottom (size 6 on the bottom, size 4 on top, 135lbs, 5'3", short legs, long torso, basically a human corgi, but like, a sexy corgi) and I originally tried the size small, since that's what I wear in the Stretch Cotton Jumpsuit (and with PLENTY of room to spare) but found it was too short in the torso and so tight in the hips that the pockets looked a little silly. I was nervous about going a size up, because I thought it would be way too big up top, but the medium fits great. The arms are a little wide - I might have them taken it, but the overall top part isn't too big or gaping. So if you are bigger in the hips, don't worry about going up - it'll still work. It's shorter on the inseam, so if you are a tall gall, this is going to be a cropped length on you. Like I said, I'm not that tall, and this works for me - I don't even think I'll have to hem it.

Love love love this outfit. It’s so comfortable and the fabric is thick so it’s pretty forgiving.

I had my eye on this for a while. I would say that in general most of the Alex Mill jumpsuits run about a size small and the inseam is short. Still they are wonderfully constructed jumpsuits! I am 5 '9 so I accept that most things are shorter than I would like. But I am happy with this item and I think the fabric is sturdy but still comfortable.

Love this one and your done jumpsuit. Super cute with boots or heels. Material is great quality/ super strong, so perfect to stay snug for fall and winter. I love the tie and the collar. A couple details: this jumpsuit has buttons (not a zipper or snaps) so takes a little longer to get on/off but I am a fan of the button so works well for me. The sleeves are easily rolled up to show a little skin if desired. Love this- thanks Nordstrom!

Loved the jumpsuit even though the color was more salmon than pink. The fabric was substantial but the cut was still very flattering. Unfortunately, I have a very long torso and it was just too short in the torso to be comfortable, so I sadly returned it. I didn’t want to go up a size as I otherwise liked its leaner fit.
