What it is: A detoxifying bar soap handmade in northern Ghana using natural, skin-healing ingredients.
What it does: This black soap or 'Alata Samina,' as it's called in the Ghanaian Twi language, is made with 100 percent natural ingredients such as plantain skins, coconut oil, cocoa pods and shea butter, which are sun-dried, roasted, mixed and then cured. Used throughout West Africa for centuries to maintain skin's youth and luster, black soap deeply cleanses and helps remove harmful bacteria and toxins from skin and hair.

I used the black soap to wash my dry hair. It lathered very well and my hair was very soft and hydrated once the soap was rinsed out. I will purchase again.

Cleanse without stripping
I really like using this soap. It cleanses without stripping all of the oils from my skin. This especially good with the colder months coming. If you have sensitive skin this will be great for you. The smell is light but natural smelling without smelling like dirt.

Why I Switched to Bar Soap
YES, this product is why I am team bar soap again. 54 Thrones is the base of my shower routine. I keep at least 2 of these stocked at all times. I love using this on my hair. It gets all the buildup without drying it out. The product's exfoliating ability is top tier. My skin esp my back, which sometimes has breakouts, has never looked or felt better.

The most amazing soap ever made!
I have skin extremely sensitive to anything artificial and the soap has left my skin the best it’s been in my entire life. leaves my skin thoroughly clean but not dried out like other bar soap.
