Bali Double Entry Bag

First let me say this review is based on Amy Kestenberg’s company, not on Nordstrom’s. This is the 4th time I’ve ordered a Kestenberg bag and while the bags themselves are nice, the shipping comes directly from Kestenberg not Nordstrom’s, the bag keeps getting delayed or canceled then if it isn’t canceled it takes weeks before it arrives. Bad customer service from Kestenberg, if you are in a semi hurry to get your bag consider another brand from the Nordstrom’s site.

In the advertising photos, the maple color bag looks like a very rich hue. In person, the color is dull/light, unattractive, and looks cheap. I photographed the bag with a brown color chair and a cognac bag for color comparison. Also, the bag is huge. Great for sneaking snacks into a movie or as a compact diaper bag, but too big for my daily activities. I returned because I was looking for better color and quality.

I’ve been looking for a large brown leather bag that has lots of pockets and storage and can fit my laptop as well as other items. I love this! The leather is buttery soft and smells amazing. My 13” laptop is inside the bag in photos so it fits well with a little more room for additional items too. There are more pockets than I know what to do with them which is a great problem to have! The brown is a bit lighter in person than in photos online but still very nice. I wish it were a little bit more structured but it’s almost impossible to check every box when it comes to finding a good bag.

This is a beautiful bag made of quality leather. It’s roomy and hangs nicely with all of my essentials. The price point is fabulous and it can easily compare to Marc Jacobs, non-logo Coach and others. The gold hardware elevates the soft subtle leather. The lining is a fun leopard print. This is an amazing find and I am sure it will stand the test of time.

I waited awhile for this to show up but it was totally worth the wait! I bought the white purse and its a very supple pebbled leather. It even smelled like good leather when i unboxed it. The feel is very soft, especially compared with my coach (also pebbled leather, but very firm with the coach purse) just to give an idea of comparison for the handfeel. I cannot believe how much this purse holds compared with others of similar size I own, i can put leggings in the hidden fold over pocket or a small lap top and its not even noticeable. The purse strap is just barely long enough for me at the last hole (I'm 5' 7") and the purse hits my waist/hip area and stays on my shoulder while walking. It does not feel too heavy or uncomfortable, and i tend to stuff my purse full! I really feel like this is worth the money and the purse is well made. Seams are sewn well, no frayed threads. The fabric liner is probably the least nice thing about this purse but it seems like it will repel water, not waterproof, but the nylon will repel liquid for a moment, so that's nice. I would definitely buy more aimee kestenberg items!

I was "in" the minute I saw this bag. The color is yummy and it's my taste. However, it was prettier in the picture and the leather wasn't as sumptuous as I thought it would be, so I returned it. That said, if it was smaller - more of a medium-sized bag, I'd have kept it. I wasn't familiar with this designer but I will say the bags are beautiful. Maybe they'll create a line of small to medium bags. If so, I'll happily buy one.
