FINALLY someone got it right! Holy Grail Product
I am an AA man w/ combo/ normal (winter/ fall) and combo/oily (spring/summer) skin. The constant issue for me has been finding a product that cleanses my skin without stripping it. I have tried all the fads. I’ve even tried oil cleansing - which offers quite the paradox. Cleansing oily skin with ‘sounds’ crazy but it actually works quite well (if done in moderation). As this is NOT a daily cleansing system that works for MY skin, I was constantly on the hunt. Then I remembered Aesop which I used many many moons ago. I always loved the clean aesthetic behind their methodology along with using as little, if any, synthetic additives to their products. Now I have been playing around with products over the years so I have a pretty good grasp on what my skin likes/ doesn’t like. When I came across this product, what caught me was the name, ’In Two Minds’. This immediately suggested that there was a ‘variation’ of some sort in this product. A gentle gel-based formulation that cleanses thoroughly without drying the skin or stripping its natural oils. Upon reading it, I saw that TWO essential products that work best for my combo skin are 1) salicylic acid and 2) witch hazel. Then there was the sage component. I knew from my readings that Sage is chock full of antioxidants which can help reverse the signs of aging. It helps with wrinkles and fine lines. The anti-inflammatory properties of sage work wonders against stubborn acne. Other inflammatory skin blemishes, such as eczema and psoriasis, can also benefit from the use of sage. Regarding oily skin, sage is a great toner since it helps regulate sebum production.
All this TOGETHER in ONE product had me sold. I had to try this. I am so happy I did. My skin hasn’t looked this good/even since I was much younger (in 20’s/early 30’s). My skin absolutely LOVES this product. The smell is herbaceous and clean. This product does NOT have surfactants in it so it does not ‘lather’ the way a typical cleanser would (which is actually a marketing ploy, btw…), but it is gently getting the job done. I will be adding the toner, next...
**User Tip** once applied, leave on face for a few minutes so the salicylic acid can activate and gently slough off dead skin and breakdown oils, before rinsing off. You’ll be happy you did.

okay, did not love it
It’s nothing special. I still had pimples, and it doesn’t lather too much. Smells okay, didn’t think it was special for that price. No better than any cheap face wash you can get from your local grocery store.
Worse $50 I spent.
Was very happy when it finished, and I had to get the pump from the Aesop store because it didn’t come with one.
You can however take advantage of the bottle and use it as a lotion bottle, or a hand soap bottle. Or you can recycle it.

Alright. Smell overpowering.
Product works well. Feel very clean after use. Nice aesthetics too. Bottle design isn't great since the lid opening is the size of the bottle top too much product comes out. Also, although I like natural scents I find the smell of this product massively overpowering.

not my favorite
I was looking for something to replace my beloved Maapilim face soap and this offering from Aesop looked promising, but it falls well short. It smells bad and doesn’t leave my face feeling very good. It’s unfortunately going in the trash.

It’s okay
I had a sample of this with an order- i think it was okay but nothing to sing home about. It’s a nice gel texture. If you have oilier skin you will really enjoy this- it was a bit drying for me- overall not bad but I wouldn’t purchase it personally. Aesop products smell nice but feel drying on the skin
