Sequin Mesh Blouson Dress

I absolutely love this dress so much to the extent that I went to 3 nordstroms and even ordered 4 of them online. Every single dress regardless of in store or online, had beads missing or about to be missing and the reason for this is unavoidable - it is a design flaw! At the end of each row beads, there is just a simple knot in the thread which is doomed to unravel because the beads are sewn onto the mesh overlay of the dress and mesh by definition has tiny holes in it so the knot slips right through the holes and off come whole rows of beads at a time! The beading is gorgeous but not one single of row is safe from unraveling so unfortunately I had to give up on this particular dress.

I bought this dress to wear for a night out with some girlfriends. It was so comfortable, fit amazing and was gorgeous. The next morning I went to pack up and noticed that at least 10 rows of beading had fell off. I was so disappointed as I was hoping to wear this on vacation in a few weeks, so I took it to Nordstrom to see if there was anything they could do. The tailor took one look and said it would keep happening and that it was poorly constructed so they took it back. This may not be as noticeable on some of the colors but on the taupe/pink color it was clear as day. Great dress if you plan on wearing it once!

I love this dress. I think it's really pretty. I usually wear a 10 and had to order a size up because it fits very snugly. I could wear the 10, but I know I would feel more comfortable in the 12. My main complaint is that the 'taupe/pink' described and pictured above is nothing like the dress I ordered. This is more of a terracotta clay color with copper sequins. I'm very disappointed because I wanted a very light color to wear to my rehearsal dinner. I think I will now have to get the navy, but the dress is so pretty, I'm willing to change my color plan.
