Ethereal Fit & Flare Dress

Beautiful embroidery and quality in this dress. I bought both a 4 and the 4P and while the 4P fit better in terms of where the waist and bodice darts hit me, I preferred the length of the 4 and - most importantly - the 4 gave me more ability to move my arms out and up, so that's the one I kept. The 4P was just too tight around the shoulders (the sheer material has no give). Wearing the 4 meant I did have to wear a lower strapless bra with slightly less coverage (went with the Calvin Klein Naked Glamour instead of the Wacoal Red Carpet which hit too high) so it wouldn't show, but that didn't bother me, and especially didn't bother me as much as the shoulder tightness in the 4P. Overall, a really beautiful dress and I'm definitely keeping it as it's perfect for weddings, but if you're planning on waving your hands really high over your head at any point it might be a little tough. I'm 5'4 and 120-125lbs, 32C. Also I know I always skim past the reviews done during the "chance to win a $1000 gift card" events, but I promise it just happened to overlap with when I bought/wore the dress. I would have written this review the same, and given the same number of stars, regardless.

This dress is so beautiful on. Very flattering and ready for a special event. I’m a petite but the petite ran tight (I have a large bust and wide shoulders) so I bought the regular and had the top of the shoulders taken in. I’m a 12 in dresses and it was true to size. The hem is longer in the back than the front which I really love. Very vintage early 50’s feel. Works best with a black strapless bra.
