Embellished Jacquard Sheath Dress

This dress is beautiful in person. The color and texture is very rich. It is a thick material with no stretch, which posed a problem for me. I am 5 3 140lbs and both the 6 and the 8 were too tight across my chest/shoulders. The waist and hips fit in both sizes. So, if you are larger chested/broad shouldered like me I do not think this dress will work out. I typically also struggle to find a short sleeved dress that isn't tight on my arms (athletic) and this one did not fit the bill either. It's a beautiful dress though, i'd love to see it in a sleeveless V neck style :)

I ordered this to wear to my friend's wedding on October. It fits to true to size- I'm 5'8', 38D, 185# and the 14 fits like it was made for me. The color looks better in person than the photo- a very vibrant purple orchid. I generally stay away from florals as they can look like grandma's curtains but this looks more expensive than it is. I like that the sleeves cover my arms, but the waist is slightly cinched in and gives a nice silhouette. I am tall though and I can see how this might swallow someone who is petite. I am very pleased.

If you ever decide to give your old sofa a lift - buy this dress! Material is superb for any upholstery project, ditto the buttons on the front of the dress. Seriously, it's not a flattering choice for any age/any body type. It goes back.

The style of the dress is perfect. The quality of the material is not the norm for a Papelll. It's more suitable for a chair covering. Sizing is just about right however with the embellishment on the front you must get in the dress sideways and the embellishment is tacky. I was disappointed.

I was hoping this would work out for an engagement party as the colors online look vivid. In person, the material is a shimmery bright jaquard and I have no complaints about the color or the material. The cut of the dress, however, was very matronly. It was not cute, nor elegant. It made me feel unstylish and frumpy. I haven't a clue as to what body type this dress would look good on. Maybe someone very, very tiny. I'm not that (size 12 waist, D chest, 5'3"). It's going back.

Adrianna Papell makes probably my favorite dresses, and I was excited to order this one for Valentine's Day. I am sometimes in between sizes, but I went for the smaller of the two in this one (a 2). I was very disappointed. It was a bit roomy in the hips, okay in the waist, and then I could not even zip it over my chest. I am really not sure what body type the shape of this dress would fit. Really odd.
