Definitely a lot different from previous model

I really wanted to like these as I wore them in the 1990’s religiously. They were a perfect blend of fashion and comfort. This new model is heavy…and when I say heavy…wow. It’s like you are wearing ankle weights. The midsole is like a rock. Unfortunately, they are super uncomfortable and I couldn’t put up with them even for short stints. I wish adidas could figure this out because Rod’s are a part of some rich history.

Aint what she used to be

Wore Lavers for 20 years from 1994-2014 when they dropped off the face of the earth. After a decade I manage to snag these....and they either changed or simply aren't as good as I remember. These are very heavy, pinch in the arch and the heel collar pleather is plain uncomfortable when wearing no-show socks. I had hoped they would loosen up a bit and break in since March - no such luck. They don't get anywhere close to the wear of my Rogers or Pro Staff 87s
