Illusion Yoke Lace Fit & Flare Dress

I was drawn to this dress in the purple color since it isn't your normal shade of purple you see everyday. Not to mention the wedding I wore this to was at a winery and the colors were appropriate. I am 5'8 and slender but curvy. I ordered this in a Small since it was only available at the time in this size. I thought I'd take the risk ... (Normally would have ordered a Medium) The dress fit perfectly. I love fit and flare because I have a smaller waist but wider hips so it's really forgiving and very flattering. The length was perfect, for being tall, it was not too short. I could dance the night away and bend over without revealing my bum. (Not something people want to see anyway!) I want to buy this in at least one or two other colors. Perfect for a fun night out or in my case, a wedding!

This dress is beautiful. Not quite as green as it appeared on my monitor, but it is still a gorgeous color. Sort of a teal. The lace overlay is extremely delicate! I had to be very careful with the zipper so I didn't catch any of the longer strings in the lace pattern. I opted to not wear any diamond rings that could snag the lace. Ordered this in an XS as Nordstrom's TrueFit recommended. I am 5'3" and about 98 lbs. Short torso, long legs. Fit was perfect. Hem hit slightly above the knee, which was perfect for a cocktail dress. My photos don't do this dress justice. It was stunning in person!

I purchased this dress for a fall wedding because I thought the lace pattern looked interesting and I loved the green color. When I received it, the color was ever-so-slightly lighter (more like a jade green) but still very pretty. The quality is not incredible or anything but decent enough for the price in my opinion. I'm tall and busty at 5'10", 155 lbs, 36DD and the large fit perfectly. The dress seemed to run fairly true to size if you use the size chart measurements as a reference. The waist was a little high (but not too high) on my longer torso so I think this dress would look nice on a range of different heights. Add some nice heels and the fit and flare shape looks good if you have thicker legs (like myself) by drawing attention to the waist detail. The lace pattern looks expensive without being heavy. The dress is sexy without being over the top, my boyfriend really liked it and thought it was modest enough to wear around his family and grandparents.

I was looking for a dress to wear to a December wedding, and I really wanted to like this. I read all of the reviews before buying, and saw a photo of a reviewer wearing it and it looked beautiful. Sadly, I did not have the same experience. I bought the peacock green color, and it was nice, though a bit brighter than what I was looking for. The fit and length were good - I'm 5'8" and it was just higher than knee length on me. The lace is pretty, but very busy. The top part above the bust is sheer, and the bust itself somehow kind of pushed my cleavage up there so that you could see it through the sheer part, which I didn't find flattering. I am pretty busty though, so maybe others wouldn't have that problem. I considered a bigger size to see if that might help, but the rest of the dress fit fine, so I don't think it would have worked. Overall though, I just felt like this dress looked really young, like it would be good for a high school/middle school dance, but not for a 33 year old woman at a wedding. I ended up returning it.

I am normally an XS and ordered a size S, which fit perfectly. The dress is slightly shorter than the dresses I usually wear (I'm 5'5), but as long as I'm not bending over, it is still appropriate and festive. I'm wearing this as my bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding, and it is perfect! Beautiful details and lace.
