Active Swim Shorts

I wish I'd ordered a size smaller. I'm 5'6", 125lbs and I wear shorts and pants between a size 2 and 6 (and 27-29), with a size 4 usually fitting best. I ordered a Small, but they were bigger than I expected for swim bottoms, especially around the waist. If I was just hanging out in them, the fit would be nice, but for swimming, they're a little big. They fit looser around the waste than most size small shorts I have. I have Brooks size M running spandex that fit a LOT tighter than these.I wore these while swimming laps in the pool and they did not fall down, so that's good! When they were wet, they clung to my legs. So I probably won't return them, but I'll order an XS next time. The seam going right down the crotch is a little annoyingwould it be possible to NOT have that and make them fit more like a bikini bottom in that area?

I've purchased a pair of these shorts every year for the past 5 years because I absolutely love them. I even recommended them to friends and family. Unfortunately, this year's order was a let down. The material has clearly changed - it used to be thicker and had more spandex or elasticty, which offered a flattering, slimming fit.While the quality still seems decent, the new version feels like any other swim shorts you can find anywhere - except these come in a much higher price. They've lost what made them special, and sadly, I won't be ordering them again.
