Acqua di Parma
Synonymous with Italian elegance and dedication to craftsmanship, Acqua di Parma perfumes, colognes and home fragrances have been exclusively handcrafted in Italy with the highest-quality ingredients since 1916. International success came in the 1930s, when Hollywood legends discovered the fragrance during their travels to Italy and helped establish Acqua di Parma as a symbol of Italian chic.

Don't believe the "fake stuff" comment
The comment shown below is repeatedly posted by one person. Don't believe the negative hype. This person bases everything on his "nose" and has no evidence to back up his claim. I own Colonia Essenza and think it smells fantastic. Very much worth the purchase.
"many fragrances are reformulating to heed the decision by the IFRA (international fragrance association) which is banning or setting lower limits on a whole host of ingredients central to many popular fragrances. i just purchased....and promptly returned a bottle of AdP Essenza to nordstroms after smelling it. a full third of the top notes that were authentic citrus (now banned) and have been replaced with synthetics. the middle rose note has been depleted and the jasmine, in my opinion what holds the fragrance together is now the fake stuff. the base notes of white musk, amber and patchouli after the dry down are the same as before and the longevity of the amazing base note trio is still deliciously lasting hours and hours and hours after the fade. sadly the intoxication of the scent of jasmine which spent 4 hours leading into the amber is gone. this cologne is now tragic for three hours then again becomes the beautiful bones of the once great thing it descended from. if you get a bottle with the numbers 2013 (the year) in the batch lot label, send it back. Lovely
Colonia Essenza takes me back to my last trip in France. I always wonder how such a busy city smells so incredible. This is a great summer fragrance with enough citrus to make if fresh and enough complexity to make it sophisticated.

Acqua di Parma 'Colonia Essenza' Eau de Cologne
This is a classy, clean, soapy, elegant, and urbane scent. You can wear this from a dinner date to a black tie affair or into the office to a board meeting. A very nice, very refine cologne. It has an air of casual elegance. I highly recommend this cologne...a must buy!
