Favorite leather jacket
I waited a few years to get this jacket, I kept hearing and seeing it. It’s like the fashion darling of leather jackets. During the interim I bought a cheaper leather jackets but I was never truly sated, that Acne leather jacket was always in the back of my mind. I finally caved and got this awesome Mock jacket in basic black for my 40th birthday.
Guaranteed to make you feel like a bad girl even if you’re not, haha. Heavy thick leather that will soften in time. I would love to wear it with leggings, slacks and dresses. I am looking forward to the cooler weather already!
I probably could’ve gone for a size 38 but I wanted a little more room for layering with sweaters, etc so I went with a size 40. I didn’t get to try it in a store due to covid 19 sheltering-in-place but no regrets about this wonderful jacket.
It probably seems like 32= xx small, 34 = x small, 36 = small, 38= medium, 40 = large, 42= x large.
I would advise trying it on in-person if you can.

Buyer beware
The jacket is really thick, heavy and chunky. The leather is so thick it almost feels fake. Also don’t bother ordering online, because if you need to return it there is no return label in the parcel. You’re just plain out of luck.

Perfection!
I first purchased this jacket in black but could not reconcile the price point so sent it back to Nordstrom. It never left my mind. This past Thanksgiving I saw the Rusty Brown color on sale but it sold out in size 34. I stalked the website for a 34 but only the 36 came back into stock at an even lower price! I had to buy it! The black I originally purchased was a 34. There is little difference between both sizes but because I store extra weight in the midsection, sizing up in jackets allows for more comfort if the proportions elsewhere (shoulders, chest, sleeve length) are almost the same. The 34 closed and was fine for tank tops and thin shirts, but the 36 has a bit more waist room if I want to layer a sweater like the model in the photo. The jacket length is the same on both sizes. It's a heavier leather so I doubt it will stretch, only soften with time.

A must have
I saw this incredible jacket online in the rusty brown color and knew it needed to be in my collection. I have an older acne studios mock core in a dusty blue. The blue is in my regular size 6. It is lovely and very fitted. With this rusty brown I chose to go up to a 10 for an oversized boxy fit. I am obsessed. It is perfection. I can layer under it. It isn’t sloppy at all. It is chic and the quality of acne studios jackets are incredible. Hard to beat. I would recommend sizing up. Get it while you can in this fabulous wear with everything color.

Absolutely obsessed. I got it in black and I am so in love. Even though I live in a hotter part of California, I know a good quality leather jacket is a closet staple. So well made and fits like a glove.
