Okay, but not as good as the old products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was attempting to get more of the discontinued custom orthotics, and picked this as a replacement out of equal parts hope and necessity. And this did not go as well as I hoped, if not as badly as I feared. As one may expect with a simplified product line, it's more generic, which is unfortunate. While the material quality and sizing is fine, the whole point of a custom orthotic is something that fits your particular foot well, which requires a bigger range of options. I'm assuming that this is a cost cutting measure, which is once again a case of everything getting worse instead of better when accountants run the show. Or possibly somebody with a marketing background running a popularity contest thinking that was somehow a good thing in this context. Find somebody smarter with either a medical and/or engineering background to check your assumptions next time. In the end, I would describe the fit as "tolerable" which is a long chalk from the old product which was "you can pry these out of my shoes when I'm dead". Pry them off my cold dead feet? You get the idea. The best thing the walking company can do is bring back the old line, sorry but it's the truth. It's not just a case of change resistance, it's a matter of physical comfort for those of us who have difficulty with generic solutions. These are not horrible, they may work well for someone who they happen to fit, but they are a disappointment to someone who found the perfect solution that is no longer available.
