Individual, different, unique!
These sandals have a definite European flair; individualized, not the same-old-same-old American style. I wear between 7.5-8.5 US typically, but size 39 in A.S.98 boots due to needing an orthotic. Reviews for these sandals seemed to imply they were “large”. I bought both 37 and 38. The 37’s were too snug and gave me shrimp cocktail toes (they went back). The 38’s are comfy with an orthotic (which actually stays in place in this style). Be advised there is zero arch support and the sandal is indeed sort of “sloppy”. Said sloppy is its class, its uniqueness, its style. I bought the black and the bone colors. Enjoying winter, getting ready for summer!

Comfort and fashionable.
Very soft and comfortable. No breaking in at all, I can easily wear them all day. I like how they have a 'European' look to them. Something I don't see people wearing where I live. Nordstrom is correct, you'll want to size down. Make sure you check out the sizing conversion chart.

super comfortable
I love this shoe. Leather is soft and very comfortable. But sadly I had to return them. I ordered the size 38 which is my normal 7 1/2 and they slipped on and off of my feet. Ordered the 37 and they were too small on my right foot. Like most people my right foot is larger than my left. The quality of this shoe is excellent and I wanted them badly. Well worth the price

Sizing, Price, Comfort
I’m 9.5, ordered a 40— way too big. Overpriced. Be apprised, totally flat, no cush at all.
Cool sandal tho, reordered size down . PS there are two new colors offered now. :)

The sizing is off.
I got a size 39 as stated for size 8.5-9. I am a size 8.5. I couldn’t slip my heel into this shoe. If I was really interested I would get the 40. Maybe I will try them but is was nicer when Nordstrom gave the slip that made returns easier with the items and the USPS stick on label.
