Wrapt Waterproof Hiking Sneaker (Women)

Love the way these shoes look and I do wear them a lot. But I will be choosy about when I wear them. I got them for a European trip where I would be in cities and on some hikes. You do have to ease into the 'barefoot' feel of the sole and thick socks help. They are not the best solution on wet city streets or wet stones along the coast. I found myself slipping on slick stone sidewalks or rocks, and feeling every brick in a cobblestone street. They work fine on a gritty trail or fairly even pavement. Twenty minutes on a walking tour in the the rain proved that they were not waterproof, as advertised. The section in front of the laces was soaked. Luckily, they dried out overnight.

I love these shoes! I tried on 20 different sneakers and these are the best. I've had spine surgeries and knee and hip replacements and these shoes give me the stability I need. They are wonderfully comfortable, warm, and have a very grippy sole. I love the styling--not like every other clunky sneaker, but with a wide, but not too wide toe box. If I could still walk all day, this would be my shoe of choice. It will probably be years til they wear out, but I'll buy another pair if they do
