847v4 Walking Sneaker (Women)

Not for me but I wouldn't downgrade the product for that reason. Hint, hint reviewers -- no one cares if you personally liked it it's a review of the product not you. Maybe great for someone. I will say that -- as everyone says everywhere now -- the toes of the shoes are short on evevry brand, every style. Someone needs to fight back against this with the overseas manufacturers. This shoe is stiff. It's very supportive. Walking shoes tend to be like that. I'm starting to think they are for people who actually have trouble walking.

I ordered this pair of shoes, 8.5AA, in April of this year (2023). The width was perfect, length too short. Returned them and ordered 9AA. Length was perfect as was the fit of the RIGHT shoe. The LEFT shoe is wider, my heel slips, and also longer than the right shoe. I kept the shoes because what they were replacing, different style, were worn out. As in holes in the soles, etc. I am giving them 4 stars because of the size difference. I have worn New Balance for years, well over 40, because they have AA widths. My perfect fit size has always been 8.5AA. I could order sight unseen and not have to be concerned about having to return them. Since NB changed country of manufacture it's a guessing game. I am not happy about that but at least they still have AA sizes. If I had a wish it would be they return to the USA for manufacturing and have more styles that are waterproof, using Gore-Tex of course. They did have one about five years ago, sorry don't remember style, that was truly waterproof as long as you didn't step in deep over the shoe top water puddles. I wore them out even worse than the aforementioned pair.
