Lucilla Shirtdress

This dress is a knockout! I sized up to a 10 (normally an 8) to make sure it would fit across the bosom and it does. It hugs in the right places and the skirt flares just enough. Besides the buttons, the dress has two hook and eyes to help keep things flat. I am going to add one more hook and eye at the bust just to keep things appropriate for work. I really hope CaS will produce this dress in other fabrics!

I ordered my usual size 6 in this dress, and it was just too snug. I wanted it to fit like it does on the model, but it was form fitting, which made the already short hemline ride up to be shorter. I’m 5’9”135lbs 32C. Not curvy or busty. Unfortunately, Nordstrom canceled my order of the Size 8. But I still think the 8 would be too short on me. While it looks great while standing, I would be hesitant to drop anything that I need to pick up while wearing this dress! Or sitting on a stool. May be best for 5’5” and below.

This is a very cute dress nicely made. The color is really a hot pink in my impression and not burgundy plum, but it’s very flattering. I think that it actually runs true to size I should’ve bought a zero which is my normal size and I bought a two based on reading the reviews. For a point of reference, I’m 5’ 3.5” and weigh 110 pounds and that size 2 is a little big on me. Also, the picture online must be someone who is very tall because the dress fits me just above the knee. I was worried that it was going to be too short, but it’s definitely not too short. I think I’m going to keep it even though it’s a little big. Still deciding if I would like to try and exchange it for a smaller size.
